SOFTRITE Technology, Inc. is a small systems consulting firm based in Central Florida near Orlando. Our business was started in 1984 when Denny Johnson began doing some part-time consulting for Godfather's Used Computer Syndicate. The following year, Denny Johnson Consulting was formed when development began on a Homebuilder Information System for Richmond American Homes. Denny's goal from the beginning was to to stay small and independent. This would enable him to be very selective about clients and projects, and only take on those that seemed like a perfect fit. The hope was that it would minimize the need for significant Sales and Marketing efforts. He felt that the best way to accomplish this was to develop strong relationships with a few clients that were large enough to have ongoing needs. He believed that if he could provide outstanding service, they would allow him to pursue ongoing opportunities. We are very proud to say, that for over twenty years now it has worked out just that way. We have always kept the number of clients we were working with at any given time small enough that we could give each one the proper attention. As a result, we have been fortunate enough to have our relationships continue year after year, allowing us to take on new projects for our clients as the opportunities present themselves. It has worked so well that we have never employed a salesperson. Today we are developing and supporting software that is being used across the country, managing system implementation projects on a regional basis, providing onsite system support services throughout the lower half of Florida, and doing some business consulting here in Orlando. Everything we do is a custom solution designed to meet a specific requirement for a client, although most of our software development benefits from being based upon our large library of existing work. We pride ourselves in being able to talk business-sales, marketing, accounting, administration and business strategy, as well as we can talk systems. In almost all cases, our client relationships have began by solving a problem for a business group, not by working with their systems people. In fact, frequently we have undertaken projects that an organization's existing technical staff was unable to address, either because of priority or budget. |
